With the leadership of The Research Center on Asylum and Migration and the partnership of the Journalist’ Assosiation; funded by the European Union Delegation to Turkey; within the 'Media and Civil Society Cooperation for Rights of Refugees', the training conducted for the reporters of Anadolu Agency in Istanbul Point Hotel, opened with the speech Anadolu Agency (AA) News Academy Deputy Coordinator Hayri Çetinkuş.
Then, Esra Yurt, the coordinator of the 'Media and Civil Society Cooperation for Rights of Refugees' project, made a presentation about project information.
AA News Academy education continued with the presentation of the experiences of journalist and writer Mete Çubukçu.
İGAM President Metin Çorabatır made the last presentation before the lunch break under the title of 'Development History of International Refugee Law and Permanent Solutions.'
After the lunch break, the training continued with the presentation of 'Refugee Perception in Media through News Language ‘ by Prof.Dr. Aslı Tunç.
Within the scope of 'Media and Civil Society Cooperation for Rights of Refugees', UNHCR representative Elif Selen Ay continued the training for Anadolu Agency reporters with her presentation titled 'UNHCR' s Works and the Perception of Refugees in the Media'
Nilüfer Narlı from Bahçeşehir University shared the details of her works in the field to the reporters with the presentation of ‘The Representation and Integration of Syrian Refugees in Press’
The last presentation of the day in the training was 'Journalism for Social Change' by Idil Turkmen from Nirengi Association and she gave participants informations about solution-oriented journalism.
